If there is one thing I’ve learned in the past year is
that you must give to yourself just like you give to others. Your
tireless work for others including family cannot come at the
expense of your well-being. The cost of all the caregiving you do
cannot be yourself. Because before you had children or before
you had a partner, you were a person with your own identity. Your
own dreams. Your own interests. You had a way to take care of
yourself. Becoming a mom doesn’t mean all that gets pushed aside or
delayed. It means an evolution of those things. And the transition
and being in the throws of motherhood requires us to see ourselves
again for who we truly are and take care of ourselves the way we
need in this moment. In this episode, I share two steps to getting
